Mundane
(James Barry)

It's the mundane things
that take the time
the supermarket, the post office
and the news at nine
The news at ten
those displaced men
in war torn countries
You sit back in your chair
and say to yourself
"I'm glad I'm not there"

Sometimes you wake up
thinking - "not another one"
Then you say
"Let's see how it goes"
Sometimes you wake up
thinking - "not another one"
Then you say
"Let's see how it goes"

If you believe all the lies
on the TV, the radio
and what you choose to buy
The information that's fed to you
is as contaminated
as the sky
The trouble is
you accept all the lies
the adverts, the scandal
and the do-or-dies...
